This isn't reproducable on Gentoo. Could you please check that /ust/bin/vala-0.18 is really vala version 0.18? orion ~ # ls -l /usr/bin/vala-0.18 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Sep 28 2012 /usr/bin/vala-0.18 -> valac-0.18 orion ~ # ls -l /usr/bin/valac-0.18 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 40032 Sep 28 2012 /usr/bin/valac-0.18 orion ~ # valac-0.18 --version Vala 0.17.7 (In reply to comment #2) > orion ~ # valac-0.18 --version > Vala 0.17.7 there you are, something is worng with your installation. Could you please reemerge vala? This is what I see: # valac-0.18 --version Vala 0.18.1 [ebuild U ] dev-lang/vala-0.18.1:0.18 [0.17.7:0.18] USE="vapigen {-test}" 0 kB No idea why we had this version (using the same 0.18 slot) Now we have the expected version. orion ~ # valac-0.18 --version Vala 0.18.1 Now shotwell builds just fine. Thanks. closing as invalid then |
