build.log
Here's (what I believe is) the interesting part of the build log, since parallel logs are a pain to navigate. libtool: relink: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc -std=gnu99 -std=gnu99 -shared -fPIC -DPIC coders/.libs/coders_svg_la-svg.o -L/tmp/portage/media-gfx/imagemagick-6.8.4.9/work/ImageMagick-6.8.4-9/magick/.libs -Wl,--as-needed -L/tmp/portage/media-gfx/imagemagick-6.8.4.9/image//usr/lib64 -L/usr/lib64 -L/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.8.0 -lMagickWand-6.Q16 -lMagickCore-6.Q16 -llcms2 -lfreetype -lfftw3 -lfontconfig -lXext -lXt -lbz2 -lltdl -ldl -lpthread -lSM -lICE -lX11 -L/tmp/portage/media-gfx/imagemagick-6.8.4.9/image//usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.8.0 -lgomp -lrsvg-2 -lgio-2.0 -lgdk_pixbuf-2.0 -lgobject-2.0 -lglib-2.0 -lcairo -lxml2 -llzma -lz -lm -fopenmp -march=corei7-avx -O3 -flto -pthread -Wl,-O1 -fopenmp -pthread -Wl,-soname -Wl,svg.so -Wl,-version-script -Wl,coders/.libs/svg.ver -o coders/.libs/svg.so /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.8.0/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lMagickWand-6.Q16 collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status I also ran into this problem. I did not emerge -C initially and could rebuild the two prior versions of imagemagick. After using emerge -C imagemagick all of the builds fail with a similar error to what you list (this box uses ~). I can also verify the workaround using MAKEOPTS=-j1. Obsolete version, please reopen if still exists with current versions |
