no plans on fixing this since texinfo-5.1 seems to work fine

Stable seems to be still on texinfo-4.13-r2. Please consider stabilizing the fixed version.

too bad texinfo-5 is written in perl and thus breaks stage building.  nothing can be stabilized until bug 471192 is sorted out.  at which time, this will get stabilized in the normal course of things so i don't think this bug serves any useful purpose.
