The Patch sys-apps/dtc/files/dtc-1.3.0-fdtdump.patch
brakes "make install"

As it Fixes a file collision with freetype it is required.

I hand-edited the Makefiles and resumed with FEATURES=keepwork.

please follow the bug reporting guide.  you must attach full build logs as well as `emerge --info` in every bug report.  what've you've posted so far is not actionable.
