Recode 3.6 has a bug, so that pybliographer cannot run with it. And I don't want to downgrade my system to recode 3.5. The given URL explains the problem in greater details.

The ebuild for recode 3.6-r1 already contains a patchset borrowed from Debian.  This patchset contains your proposed changes and some more.  Please test it and tell me your experince.
