Cynthiune moved to the GAP project, and a new release is available.

Version 1.0.0:
This is the first GAP release of Cynthiune. Notably changes: 
- many build impprovements
- New OpenBSD Sndio audio output backend bundle
- New libao based AO audio output backend bundle
- New Linux ALSA audio output backend bundle
- Windows support updated
- Macintosh supported again, (10.3 or later)
- disabled MusicBrainz Support for now
- many other minor bug fixes

I made some changes to the last dead Gentoo ebuild from CVS. It compiles and runs fine. So far I only found it crashing on opening FLAC files, but FLAC can be disabled for now.

I did some fuzzy checking on the last patches for the cynthiune-0.9.5-r5.ebuild (the best I can do, and that's not very well).
- It seems to me that the reason for the "set-macro.patch", "NSMutableDictionary.patch" and "as-needed.patch" still exist. The "as-needed.patch" should change a bit to follow the same logic.
- The "NSCellExtensions.patch" is already in the source code.
- I didn't use the "NSWindow.patch" and "gnustep-make-2.patch".
- The "flac-1.1.3.patch" and "libmpcdec.patch" can't be used, because the source code changed a lot. But that is just a good sign, isn't it? :)

It would be nice to have this app back in Portage or the GNUstep overlay. Thank you so much!

Thanks for the report and initial work! This has been on my TODO-list since I saw the GAP announcement.

I'm working on a few cleanups to the ebuild (EAPI 5, ...), then it can be restored in tree

Build system was reworked a bit upstream (especially on libs and as-needed), and compilation fixes are not needed anymore, so last patches are good to go too

For flac, I masked the USE-flag instead (so the ebuild does not need modifications when this is fixed). Did you notify upstream on this btw?

Anyway, cynthiune is back in tree, enjoy!
