Currently there's one extra patch for sys-devel/make (as make-3.82-r5 package on Gentoo overlay) that was required to get webkit-gtk even to build.

Should be investigated further.

I am using official make and it builds:
sys-devel/make-3.82-r4

Anyway, if we get that failure in some machines also for 2.0.0, the patch needs to be evaluated by Gentoo make maintainers (that are the assign in bug 300867)

I cannot get webkit-gtk-2.0.0 to build either. It was hanging on a g-ir-compiler statement. I just tried it on MAKEOPTS="j1" and it hangs at

(process:14602): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_class_install_property: assertion `class->set_property != NULL' failed

Note that it doesn't just fail, it hangs and has to be stopped with ctrl-c

Looks like a different bug to me
