Using the separate sys-fs/udev worked fine, and still works fine. Latest revision of systemd introduced this regression.

If there is no agreement between udev and systemd maintainer
you should follow the old rule of following upstream:

sys-fs/udev copies parts of systemd

Thus this bug is attributed to the wrong ebuild now.

Bundling occurs when more than one copy of library is installed in the system or is included in a separate package. As far as I can see, there is no bundling here.
