i dont get a sandbox violation with rp-pppoe-3.4 ... could you post the following ? (1) that log file (/tmp/sandbox-rp-pppoe-3.4-10104.log) (2) the output of `lsmod` (3) anything else you think would be helpful ... this problem occurs only under certaing setups it would seem I tried merging this and it worked fine with portage 2.0.10... Seemant: I don't have any issues with this ebuild, it works for me. Az, help! :) could we unmask this sucker considering the following: (1) noone can reproduce this (2) every version of rp-pppoe has been removed except 2.4 (3) original reporter hasnt reported since to help out The fact is I unmasked rp-pppoe-3.4 and did have no problem too. Either with a fresh gentoo installation (1.2) on which rp-pppoe was not yet installed or with a two weeks old gentoo installation (1.3b) on which rp-pppoe-3.3 was already present. But I had seen this error once too, now I can't reproduce it. (Btw, at the time when I had seen this error, emerging rp-pppoe worked without a problem the second time... Without disabling sandbox of course.) The unmasking of rp-pppoe-3.4 or the return of the rp-pppoe-3.3 ebuild is urgent. phj, ok, it seems to work for everyone. there is a little bit of intermittency to the sandbox violations (unreproducible). if it happens again, please report. I will unmask it for now BTW see also: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5809 continue commenting to this bug there (?) |
