Description igel 2013-03-06 15:23:14 UTC
Networkmanager sometimes produces wifi configurations with the wpa-psk option but without password. The ifnet plugin then stores this configuration to wpa_supplicant.conf. Then, however, wpa_supplicant refuses to parse the file.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Somehow create a WPA secured network using nm-applet that does not have a password (I don't know right now how I did it...) while using the ifnet plugin
2. try to lauch wpa_supplicant with the /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf configuration
Actual Results:
parse errors

Expected Results:
no errors

1) Please post your `emerge --info' output in a comment.
2) Please provide more information about the faulty configuration file (but redact sensitive information) and about your networkmanager configuration.
