We should be prepared for release of SDL2, which is widely used in commercial software (mostly, in games). I suggest to add live or snapshot ebuild to main tree.
And don't forget that all ebuilds that depends on libsdl, should have sloted libsdl:0 for legacy 1.2 (see bug #450710).
