samba-3.6.12-gold.patch
Is this still a problem with sambda-4.x? (I have samba-4.2.14 installed and use ld.gold, so I don't think so.) If not -- then since samba-3.x is no longer in the tree -- I think we can close this. I am also at 4.5.x or 4.8.x version, moreover I do not have a system with GNU gold linker to test. But looking at the patch, why don't you take it if it still applies? The intent is clear what it should do. (In reply to Martin Mokrejš from comment #3) > I am also at 4.5.x or 4.8.x version, moreover I do not have a system with > GNU gold linker to test. But looking at the patch, why don't you take it if > it still applies? The intent is clear what it should do. The patch was for samba-3.6.x, an old version that has been removed from Gentoo. So, there's nothing to apply it to. It looks like the issue was fixed upstream in the meantime, so a patch isn't needed for samba-4.x. |
