3.1.14 was pulled from upstream. I removed the ebuild. The ChangeLog needs updating, since it still references 3.1.14 as the latest and it took a while to work out why portage wanted to downgrade my fully working 3.1.14 to 3.1.9 and pull in PHP 5.3 (In reply to comment #2) > The ChangeLog needs updating, since it still references 3.1.14 as the latest > and it took a while to work out why portage wanted to downgrade my fully > working 3.1.14 to 3.1.9 and pull in PHP 5.3 It doesn't, that's just to more easily see the history. A removal of a package version, even the last one, does not impose the removal of that header in the ChangeLog. Using those history headers should not be used to determine the last version in Portage; at best it can be used to determine the last version that ever was in Portage. So, the latest entry being the following above the "*pecl-apc-3.1.14 (09 Jan 2013)" should suffice and is correct ChangeLog behaviour: > 02 Mar 2013; Ole Markus With <olemarkus@gentoo.org> -pecl-apc-3.1.14.ebuild: > Version was pulled from upstream You may want to use a tool like eix or the more detailed eshowkw (from gentoolkit) to determine the versions available, their keywords, slots and masks. |
