According to Mike Hommey (glandium), this has been fixed upstream already. (In reply to comment #2) > According to Mike Hommey (glandium), this has been fixed upstream already. in which version? Well, upstream at this point doesn't technically HAVE versions for spidermonkey. At some point there will be a spidermonkey-17 (from the mozilla 17ESR codebase). I have this issue with the latest stable. If for you spidermonkey-17 is the 1.7.0 that we have in the tree, this is not fixed. As I said, mozilla upstream has not released any spidermonkeys yet nor have they finished changes to the build system and versioning in order to actually do a release. fyi, spidermonkey-1.8.8 was rolled out of the mozilla codebase after 17.0 was released, and iirc mozilla was building their codebase with clang as of at least 17.0 so support should be there, as djc mentioned; if not it will arrive with the next release. well, feel free to close when we will stabilize it With clang-3.4 and spidermonkey 17 the error is the same as the one described here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=887645 According to this upstream bug, there will be no 17.0.1 to fix the issue. Spidermonkey 24 compiles and tests fine with clang-3.4. (In reply to Fabio Scaccabarozzi from comment #8) > With clang-3.4 and spidermonkey 17 the error is the same as the one > described here: > https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=887645 > According to this upstream bug, there will be no 17.0.1 to fix the issue. > Spidermonkey 24 compiles and tests fine with clang-3.4. Still present with 3.5. I made a patch based on upstream's comments, sent a PR for review: https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/1589 (In reply to Austin English from comment #9) > (In reply to Fabio Scaccabarozzi from comment #8) > > With clang-3.4 and spidermonkey 17 the error is the same as the one > > described here: > > https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=887645 > > According to this upstream bug, there will be no 17.0.1 to fix the issue. > > Spidermonkey 24 compiles and tests fine with clang-3.4. > > Still present with 3.5.
