2.6.3-r2 is long gone from the Portage tree (I'm assuming we're talking about development-sources here). Could you emerge 2.6.4 (this one seems to be the most up-to-date one for the pcc arch) and check if the problem is still there? 2.6.3-r2 is the default kernel for 2004.0 on ppc. 2.6.5 will be the default one for 2004.1 on ppc. I'll try to reproduce the error. Sounds like a linking error. Probably a broken module. Does this happen compiling other things (besides the kernel?) Do you notice any warning during the compile along the lines of "Implicit declartion of ..."? Those are usually the biggest culprits of linking errors. Have you tried a newer kernel? 2.6.5 perhaps? Haven't heard anything since this bug was created. Closing. If the problem still exists, please reopen. |
