this is fixed with the latest available versions of icedtea in the tree, iirc.

looks like the fix was merged into the 2.3 branch after the 2.3.8 release.

No, it was in 2.3.7:

It had to be fixed in 2.3.8 because the patch we were given was buggy. 1.x needs that fix too and it'll be in this coming week's security update.
