This is used by >=www-client/chromium-25, which will need to go stable in the next few weeks. Can we get this stabilized on at least amd64 and x86?

Not a problem for openoffice.
In the end the harfbuzz is not used in libo code, so it is not a problem for us, if other maintainers want they can even remove our herd from metadata.
