Description Tobias Johansson 2013-02-11 21:08:51 UTC
RDEPEND contains a faulty line where developer seems to be commenting on wheter package should be in rdepend o not.

Also when tha is corrected the install phase fails due to faulty newinitd-line.

Had to write this bug on tablet so no attachments, sorry.
Comment 1 Tobias Johansson 2013-02-11 21:10:39 UTC
Also I should mention that iptables get pulled in by gnome 3.6.2.

After fixing the RDEPEND-line I still get this: http://bpaste.net/show/76753/
Comment 5 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-02-12 15:32:05 UTC
Either you attach the build log or you don't file a bug report. Thanks.

The problem is apparently in your local overlay.
Comment 8 Tobias Johansson 2013-02-12 16:32:04 UTC
No. Please read my description. I moved the ebuild over to local overlay to fix the initial error (thus trying to assist you in fixing the problem). But there was also a second error with the ebuild which the buuld log shows.
Comment 9 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2013-02-12 16:45:48 UTC
Maybe you want to attach a patch to show what you changed in your overlay, then? Also, the newinitd thing is, again, your problem since you apparently didn't copy that file to your overlay.
Comment 10 Tobias Johansson 2013-02-13 13:43:42 UTC
I have managed to fix this by syncing properly. Sorry to have wasted your time.
Comment 11 Tim 2013-07-16 14:22:09 UTC
What do you mean by syncing properly? We're experiencing a similar issue with 1.4.19.1 except it says newinitd failed rather than does not exist. Perhaps you can provide more information which could help us too? Thanks

He meant syncing his portage tree. Please file a new bug report.
