Created attachment 338154 [details, diff] Patch for dev-db/couchdb's ebuild /var/run is a symlink to /run, which is normally mounted as a tmpfs. Therefore, there's no need to create anything there during src_install, as it'll be gone on the next reboot. Instead, the init script should take care of that, and couchdb's already does this (by means of checkpath).
