I can reproduce it using gaim, probably you can have wierd behaviours on other apps too.

to reproduce it you just have to get an URL on gaim (http://something.bla/) and click on it.

removing the module fixes the issue.

USE="debug" emerge gaim
gdb gaim

when it crashes, get backtrace and attach here.
