Any kernel module must be built with the same compiler that had been used to build the kernel. This is a well-known feature of the kernel build system which helps to guarantee that the kernel and its modules have the same ABI. If you built your kernel with gcc-4.5 and then updated to gcc-4.6, you have two choices: 1. rebuild the kernel with gcc-4.6 and reboot; or 2. temporarily switch back to gcc-4.5 using gcc-config to build any additional kernel modules, and then switch back to gcc-4.6 when finished. Yes, worked with kernel, compiled by gcc 4.6 . Thanks for explanation. |
