Description

![]() The patch from bug 297101 doesn't handle USE="png -zlib" well. Though I wouldn't be surprised if 'png' simply required 'zlib' regardless of the patch. Reported upstream: http://code.google.com/p/leptonica/issues/detail?id=76 (In reply to comment #2) > Reported upstream: > http://code.google.com/p/leptonica/issues/detail?id=76 OK, upstream deams the choice USE="png -zlib" to be non-sensical. I changed the logic in the ebuild so that if the user makes this non-sensical choice, then we still select USE="png zlib" for her. (As per http://devmanual.gentoo.org/general-concepts/use-flags/index.html#conflicting-use-flags ) + 16 Feb 2013; Thomas Kahle <tomka@gentoo.org> leptonica-1.69.ebuild: + Override USE='png -zlib' (bug 454890) Why you did not use REQUIRED_IUSE instead? (In reply to comment #4) > Why you did not use REQUIRED_IUSE instead? Because REQUIRED_USE is for special purposes (see the URL I linked.), it also makes it more difficult for the user because she would have to change their USE-flags. |
