I suspect that the problem has something to do with the recent dev-libs/boost slotmove. However, I don't see a slotmove for boost:1.52 in $PORTDIR/profiles/updates/4Q-2012. The last one was for boost:1.51. Please post the content of /var/db/pkg/dev-libs/boost-1.52.0-r5/SLOT. Then go ahead and fix it like this: emerge --oneshot dev-libs/boost Maybe you have dev-libs/boost from an overlay? Also post the content of /var/db/pkg/dev-libs/boost-1.52.0-r5/repository.
