If I use the LiveCD 2004.0 Without an Internet connection and choose at 
7.b. Installing the Sources
# emerge =vanilla-sources-2.4.24

I get a trouble at
7.d. Alternative: Using genkernel
  # emerge genkernel

  >>> emerge (3 of 6) media-libs/lcms-1.12 to /
  >>> Downloading http://gentoo.oregonstate.edu/distfiles/lcms-1.12.tar.gz
