While trying to emerge enlightnment-cvs, while running the ./configure stage in the dependency elicit(-0.8.0-20040313) failed as it cannot find esmart-config in the PATH.  Upon investigation I found that emerging esmart then enlightenment-cvs cured the problem.  So esmart needs to be built and merged before enlightenment-cvs in the enlightenment-cvs ebuild.

Steps to Reproduce:
(Because I did a fresh Gentoo install when this problem arose :))
0. emerge joe  (during the installation of Gentoo [ie: while still on the LiveCD])
1. Have a fresh Gentoo 2004.0 install from stage 1, and booted.
2. emerge irssi screen
3. USE="-X" emerge links
4. emerge centericq
5. emerge gnome
6. ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" USE="-kde" emerge enlightenment-cvs
Actual Results:  
The error in the description field occurs.  That's the order I set up Gentoo
2004.0 on my box with.

Expected Results:  
Installed the dependency esmart before installing elicit.
