the updated ebuild
This is the updated ebuild. All that had to change was the file name...copied
from the original xemacs-21.4.12.ebuild
I have this installed here and been using it for over a month without problems.
Thanks.
is there anything else I need to do here? Its been sitting here stale for a long time... xemacs (currently updating my system to ~x86 ) also seems to depend on a libgdbm which I didn't have but wasn't emerged automatically.
>>> emerge (1 of 83) app-editors/xemacs-21.4.15-r1 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) xemacs-21.4.15.tar.gz
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) NeXT_XEmacs.tar.gz
[...]
checking for dbm_open in -lgdbm... no
Error: Required GNU DBM support cannot be provided.
!!! ERROR: app-editors/xemacs-21.4.15-r1 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 160, Exitcode 1
!!! (no error message)
I tried now an emerge gdbm and then to reinstall xemacs - no, didn't work, same error.
Please post this info, the output of "emerge info", and your version of gdbm currently installed to bug 58350 as that is the related bug. 21.4.15 in portage, closing a stale bug. |
