1) Please attach the complete build log. 2) Please attach the config.log file as well. 3) If you don't mind which library, can you try with libjpeg-turbo? * dependency graph for virtual/jpeg-0 `-- virtual/jpeg-0 amd64 `-- media-libs/libjpeg-turbo-1.2.1 (>=media-libs/libjpeg-turbo-1.2.0) ~amd64 [static-libs?] `-- media-libs/jpeg-8d (>=media-libs/jpeg-8d) amd64 [static-libs?] Created attachment 335074 [details]

BTW. I have the same error with seamonkey-2.15. Seems it does need libjpeg-turbo instead of just jpeg...

I also confirm this. After emerging libjpeg-turbo firefox configures and builds fine. Replacing jpeg-8 with libjpeg-turbo fixes the problem for me as well. Did anyone dare to try with media-libs/jpeg-9 ? Emerging manually libjpeg-turbo solved the issue for me. But if libjpeg-turbo is required to emerge firefox-18.0, should not firefox-18.0 depend on libjpeg-turbo? (In reply to comment #8) > Emerging manually libjpeg-turbo solved the issue for me. But if > libjpeg-turbo is required to emerge firefox-18.0, should not firefox-18.0 > depend on libjpeg-turbo? I am gonna add a system-jpeg useflag which will determine if we want to use bundled or system lib, many people would like to keep normal jpeg-8 and not migrate. Thanks for reporting, -r1 is now in the tree. (In reply to comment #10) > Thanks for reporting, -r1 is now in the tree. Where was the problem? (for curiosity ;)) |
