Description Federico Zenith 2004-03-17 23:50:16 UTC
Hi people, KDE 3.2.1 went stable some time ago, but its corresponding quanta release, and also Kdevelop 3.0.2, are still unstable. I have not seen reasons for this neither in the Bugzilla nor in the respective Changelogs.

I guess they were simply forgotten then... so I'm reminding.
Personally I've used quanta 3.2.1 and it looks as stable as it can be; kdevelop compiles though I have not tested it thoroughly.

Cheers,
-Federico

hi,

i am using quanta as well, but i noted a really annoying behavior which can be seen, when using "umlauts". in webcvs.kde.org i found a patch that just didn't do it into the release.

http://webcvs.kde.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/quanta/quanta/Attic/document.cpp
see version 1.240.2.8 (1.240.2.7 is the version in kde 3.2.1)

diff will be attached

thanks

they're now stable, and quanta 3.2.2 is in portage (with your patch).
Comment 4 Federico Zenith 2004-04-27 01:25:45 UTC
Hi Caleb,
I sync'ed a few seconds ago but I see no patch in app-editors/quanta, neither 3.2.2 nor 3.2.1. Has the patche made it in the code this time?
Comment 5 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-04-27 05:45:24 UTC
The attached patch is already in quanta now.
Comment 6 Federico Zenith 2004-04-27 06:17:52 UTC
Fine then, closing bug.
