Comment 3 Andreis Vinogradovs ( slepnoga ) 2013-01-03 08:43:54 UTC
In my opinion, it's /run problem - this init script written to old baselaout and use /var/run instead /run
Comment 4 Yixun Lan archtester gentoo-dev 2013-01-17 06:58:45 UTC
I'm also facing this problem, while stop mldonkey.
/var/run is link to /run

 ~ # file /var/run
/var/run: symbolic link to `/run'
 ~ # /etc/init.d/mldonkey stop
 * Caching service dependencies ...                                       [ ok ]
 * Stopping mldonkey -- please wait ...
 * Will stop /usr/bin/mlnet
 * Will stop PID in pidfile `/run/mldonkey.pid'
 * Will stop processes of `/usr/bin/mlnet'
 * start-stop-daemon: no matching processes found
 * mldonkey runs stop svc [ ok ]
 ~ # cat /run/mldonkey.pid
8868
 ~ # ps ax |grep mlnet
 9240 pts/3    S+     0:00 grep --colour=auto mlnet

mldonkey has been stopped but the pid file not been cleaned.

Please open separate bug to mldonkey

+  10 Mar 2013; Sergey Popov <pinkbyte@gentoo.org> +pptpd-1.3.4-r2.ebuild,
+  +files/pptpd-init-r2:
+ Revision bump: EAPI 5, fix stop function in initscript, wrt bug #449950

It is not /run problem. It's problem related to removed --oknodo option from stop() function. Fixed in -r2, will close this, when -r2 hits stable...
