the config files it installs are for texlive 2012, which is not stable...
it may work with older texlive versions but better get texlive 2012 stable at the same time

Are there plans to get texlive 2012 as stable?
Should I file a stable request bug for it?

yes you can file a bug for it; i think i still have a couple of bugs to fix but it should be almost ready, and i'll mark them as blockers
