I cannot reproduce this here (even with comparable CFLAGS & USE in a chroot), but this seems to be sse2 related. I notice you have -march=athlon-xp in CFLAGS, which only enables up to SSE (v1), but you have sse2 in USE. Can you try enabling -msse2 in CFLAGS or disable sse2 in USE, and see if either of those helps? Thank you Ben, you are a genius. I had tried removing SSE & SSE2 flags but it hadn't helped. But as you suggested I changed my march to what it should be (amdfam10) & it compiled fine. I wonder if if should now recompile everything else! How can I buy you a beer? Robin |
