See attached build.log file. This happens on two of my systems (one ~amd64 and one ~x86) but works on a third one (~amd64). All three systems are nearly identical that's why I opened this bug.

Dunno why but this is all fixed now that I recompiled ncurses on the affected machines. The funny part is that I recompiled ncurses several times before and that didn't help a bit.
