the kernel team knows what and when stabilize. The kernel team is looking how 3.6.10 goes for at least a week, then they will maybe put that one up for stabilization; they kept wanting to do it, but every time another version came out. Source: mpagano from #gentoo-kernel on FreeNode. There possibly is another quite severe power regression: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=linux_power_20&num=1 Especially judging from the comments it hit quite some users. (Just noting that in case you did not read about it, yet.) Fair enough - I've just seen a quite a few comments asking users to create stabilization requests for packages and 3.6.8 seemed better to me than 3.5.7. I won't reopen this - looking forward to 3.6.10++? |
