We should probably wait for a resolution to GLEP 16 before doing this. If someone gives me an example desktop file before vim63 is released I'll add it in. I don't use Gnome myself, so I'm not entirely sure how this works... Can't fix this one without more information. Feel free to reopen with a sample desktop file. Created attachment 39134 [details] gvim.desktop This is what I use. Note that it references an icon by name as "gvim"; this means that currently an icon will only be displayed if the current icon theme contains an icon called gvim. (I know Lila does, but not many others.) The "gtkvim" icon is part of Gnome, but is ugly as something very ugly. I suggest that if this is to be used, an icon should be installed to /usr/share/pixmaps/gvim.xpm (it will then be used if the icon theme does not contain a gvim icon). I think http://www.vim.org/images/vim32x32.xpm is appropriate; it's small enough (1371 bytes) to put in files/. Will include in the next revbump. Thanks. Included in gvim-6.3-r2. |
