Tried to emerge www-client/chromium-24.0.1312.14  and dependency dev-lang/v8-3.14.5.1-r1 failed to build:

I don't think V8 has been ported to power/powerpc, and it probably isn't very high on upstream's priority list.

Yup, upstream does not support ppc/ppc64. Guess why the ebuild is not keyworded on these arches... Just please don't try on alpha or sparc next, it won't work either. ;-)
