Yes I thought it was a gcc-4.7.x error once I saw the error message. Anything that keeps you from trying 3.14.1 instead? For an unknown reason, paraview-3.14* does not appear in my portage tree. That's where paraview 3.12.0 and 3.14.1 are living, not the main tree. Thank you for your prompt reply. eix-sync does not call 'layman -S' as I thought before. So... paraview-3.14.1-r4 works fine. You can make eix-sync call layman -S but that's not the default behavior, the configuration for eix needs to be changed but I don't remember how. try with sci-visualization/paraview-3.98.0 |
