cannot reproduce it but i dont know why... could you please reattach a build log after syncing your portage tree ? I've changed the ebuild to disable silent rules, we should be able to better understand it like that. Created attachment 330226 [details]

attached new build.log, im not able to see anything different apart from more noise in the build/ link phase.

just for the record : this system has been completely rebuilt in the last few days and the same problem remains with libva-intel-driver-1.0.19. In case you want me to test something pls. just let me know, the live ebuild in portage tree _did_ build just fine BTW. I built it twice : once 2 days ago and again today morning without any problems. I made a few tests and the software is apparently working fine. I searched in the upstraem bugtracker but havent been able to find anything somehow related. Do you want me to open a bug there ? thanks !
