I'm trying to upgrade this box from =sys-devel/gcc-4.5* to =sys-devel/gcc-4.7* to switch from:

-march=armv7-a -mfpu=vfpv3 -mfloat-abi=hard

To:

-march=cortex-a8 -mfpu=neon -mfloat-abi=hard

This is Efika MX NetTop v3

Don't let the hostname 'fedora-arm' confuse anything, I'm just inside chroot with /sys /proc /dev all mounted to it, as I'm trying to setup the box's toolchain before eg. building the kernel

Hi Samuli,

Using your make infos, I can't seem to get a failure here, although I built on a 3.0.35 kernel on an MX6 board.  I will start a build on 2 different machines when I get home, to see if I can replicate the issue on an efikamx itself.

Please note: For my mx6 build, I extracted the latest hardfp stage3 on the tds.net mirror, and chrooted, keyworded/unmasked 4.7.2, and changed CFLAGS/make.conf to match what you have in your comment and then built it.

Do you have a link handy for the fedora sdcard image you're using?

gcc-4.9 is stable now, so throwing away older bugs we don't plan on doing backports for as this should be fixed w/4.9+.  please re-open if it's still an issue with 4.9.3+ though.
