I will update the ebuild to depend on <xorg-server-1.13, but this driver is mostly obsolete and you should migrate to the KMS driver (CONFIG_DRM_UDL) and xf86-video-modesetting. Hi, i'm trying to start xorg-server-1.13.0-r1 with driver xf86-video-modesetting-0.5.0 and he stops with error that no screens found. You can see full log of Xorg - http://paste.org.ru/?eyn0fw I think that still need a driver xf86-video-displaylink to startup xorg-server with usb-videocards based on DisplayLink M01061. PS: I use a laptop MacbookPro with external monitor Samsung MD230X3, connected through three adapters Lenovo M01061. Hi, do you have new information about this problem? I don't have such hardware. If the problem still exists, you need to report a bug at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/ so it can be addressed. *** Bug 467490 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This problem still exists and I find workaround - migrate to the x11-drivers/xf86-video-fbdev, because xf86-video-modesetting is unaccelerated driver. Both xf86-video-fbdev and xf86-video-modesetting are unaccelerated. You can use >=xrandr-1.4.0 to set it as provider output source of another graphics chipset, or use that as offload sink if you run a separate X server on it. xf86-video-displaylink has now been dropped from the x11 overlay. |
