Xorg log
I don't know what might have triggered this strange behaviour; but it happend right after yesterday's upgrade. I don't even have a log-in screen, all I see is some kind of big background letter "S" or "5" black on white. Created attachment 329962 [details]
strange display
Here is a screen shot what I see when computer boots.
I've switched to "nvidia" but with anything in xorg.conf I get a blank screen. If xorg.conf is empty I X starts but I gen ugly big fonts. How to automaticaly generate xorg.conf with nvidia, do I need one at all? I suspect this has been fixed, whatever the problem was. If not, please file a bug upstream at bugs.freedesktop.org. |
