Description Kevin Miller 2004-03-11 09:09:23 UTC
I emerged KDE 3.2.1 last night. This morning after rebooting, I opened up Kmail. I opened up a New Email. When I went to add an email address from the Address Book, the OK button that should be below is missing. The only buttons I see as the To:, CC: and BCC: buttons. Thus, there is not way I can add any emails from my Address Book to the New Email without having to cut and paste.

All the other buttons when Adding a new Email Address are available including the OK, Apply, and Cancel buttons. They are just missing when I try to add a new email address to my email.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select New Mail
2.Click on right button on the To line to Open Address Book
3.Select an Email Address
4.Can't do anything else since the OK button is not available below

Actual Results:
I cannot add Emails to my new message. I have to cut and paste to add email addresses.

Expected Results:
I expected the emails to be added to the new email message

Kmail was running last night when KDE 3.2.1 was emerging.

works for me, at least in 3.2.2 which is all I have to look at at the moment.

Kmail 1.6.2 (KDE 3.2.2) is still missing the button as shown in a recent
screenshot of the Address Book.

Same problem here. KDE 3.2.2, KMail 1.6.2. In the attached screenshot, I've maximized the address book window, but the 'OK' buttons are still out of reach. Its as if those buttons exist somewhere below the bottom of my screen. Maybe we should pass this one upstream to the KMail developers.

Same problem here: KDE 3.3.0, kmail 1.7

Additionally, if I:
1) create a new email message
2) click Tools --> Address Book
3) drag a name from the address book to the "To" field

I get something like this:

To: /tmp/kde-nate/kaddressbook6w5wjz//Scott_Peterman.vcf

instead of the "Contact Name" <contact@email.com> that I expect.

In short, kmail/address book are completely broken on my box.
