the xmms ebuild doesn't copy a .desktop file to the gnome start menu. 

i think this would be a pritty nice enhancement, because;
a) afaik. does gnome note come with a menu editor that searches for installed applications (like kde's does). afaik there is no menu editor for gnome at all.
b) adding .desktop files for each application is going on my nerves :)
