Using gcc-4.7.2 
compiling libkface-2.9.0
results in a compile error 
missing several class interfaces when using opencv-2.4.3

stable media-libs/opencv-2.3.1a-r1 works!
Please specify needed version of opencv in media-libs/libkface-2.9.0.ebuild
