Try building zlib with static-libs Compiling zlib with static-libs makes it work. But why? Is there a zlib conflict? Splashutils comes with its own packaged versions for lib jpeg/png/zlib/freetype. The current installed system zlib is version 1.2.7, whereas splashutils-1.5.4.4 comes with zlib 1.2.3. Could that mismatch have anything to do with it? No idea how splashutils does it's stuff, but it seems possible that it might not be able to get at the shared libraries (depending when the non-boot devices are mounted) so it might want to be built with the static libraries. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 434368 *** |
