I just installed gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.4-r1 and the trouble persists; I am unable to tap the touchpad to get a button 1 click as I could in 2.4 kernels. Same thing here. Compaq Presario 2110 US with Synaptics Touchpad doesn't see the "finger tap" as a button click with 2.6.3-r1 -- works on 2.4.22-r7. My desktop is KDE (3.2.1). I *think* -- though my memory is hazy -- that the same thing happened when I tried to run with a 2.6 kernel on the same machine with Debian/Knoppix. So I suspect it's upstream of both Debian and Gentoo. The sound doesn't work on 2.6.3 either, and IIRC that also happened on Debian/Knoppix. But that's another bug, eh? |
