hmm, well xlutils $ sudo USE_PYTHON="2.7" ebuild xlutils-1.5.2.ebuild clean test * Testing of dev-python/xlutils-1.5.2 with CPython 2.7... PYTHONPATH=build-2.7/lib py.test xlutils/tests ============================= test session starts ============================== platform linux2 -- Python 2.7.3 -- pytest-2.2.4 collected 85 items ============================ 85 passed in 0.74 seconds ======================== well search me. mock is listed as a dep, however the use flag test appeared to be absent in IUSE. The tests appear to defeat pythn2[5-6], but 2.7 ought be fine, and i have 2.7.3-r2. I wonder if that bypassed pulling in mock. (In reply to comment #1) > however the use flag test appeared to be absent in IUSE. It was not absent. DISTUTILS_SRC_TEST="py.test" adds "test" to IUSE. from mock import Mock E ImportError: cannot import name Mock this just doesn't add up. Unmerging mock yields E ImportError: No module named mock so cannot import name Mock implies it can't import mock, which frankly makes a mockery of the importing of a standard module. It suggests it's sitting there. Invoking a python shell, can you "import mock' or 'from mock import Mock' ? Once again my system just imports mock and gets on with it. The current version fails in a different way ;-). |
