The reason was simple but not obvious, some program changed permissions to /tmp, http-replicator couldn't write to /tmp. Does this still happen with the latest version? Could you report this upstream? The latest version doesn't work for me: # /etc/init.d/http-replicator restart * Starting Http-Replicator ... Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/http-replicator", line 4, in <module> import Params, Request, Response, fiber, weakref ImportError: No module named Params (In reply to Marcin Mirosław from comment #3) > The latest version doesn't work for me: > # /etc/init.d/http-replicator restart > * Starting Http-Replicator ... > Traceback (most recent call last): > File "/usr/bin/http-replicator", line 4, in <module> > import Params, Request, Response, fiber, weakref > ImportError: No module named Params That's not the latest version, 4.0_alpha2-r1 is. Now latest version hit tree;). Init script needs updating: # /etc/init.d/http-replicator restart * Starting Http-Replicator ... Error: invalid option '-s' And it doesn't work with python3.2: # /etc/init.d/http-replicator restart * Starting Http-Replicator ... File "/usr/bin/http-replicator", line 12 print 'Accepted request from %s:%i' % address ^ SyntaxError: invalid syntax # head -1 /usr/bin/http-replicator #! /usr/bin/env python I suspect it should be: #! /usr/bin/env python2 With ~4.0_alpha2-r1 I have no issue described in this bug. Please try again using revision 2 which should be on the mirrors later today. Sorry, can you try revision 3 instead? The person that tested missed something. It looks good beside printing pid when starts: # /etc/init.d/http-replicator restart * Stopping HTTP Replicator ... [ ok ] * Starting HTTP Replicator ... 6757 [ ok ] http-replicator doesn't has "--pid" option, acording to "--help" (In reply to Marcin Mirosław from comment #8) > It looks good beside printing pid when starts: > # /etc/init.d/http-replicator restart > * Stopping HTTP Replicator ... [ ok ] > * Starting HTTP Replicator ... > 6757 [ ok ] Thanks, at least it works; I'll try to look into making it quiet by next bump. (In reply to Marcin Mirosław from comment #9) > http-replicator doesn't has "--pid" option, acording to "--help" It does, a patch that introduces --pid back is being applied. (In reply to Marcin Mirosław from comment #5) > With ~4.0_alpha2-r1 I have no issue described in this bug. Okay, then I'll close it. Thanks again. Thanks for bump! |
