patch from gentoo portage, 2012-10, to be applied before xfburn-with-isolinux.diff
for completeness sake the patch from portage which has to be applied before xfburn-with-isolinux.diff
(all based on xfburn-0.4.3_p20120601 source)
Is there a reason why it uses its own copy of isolinux.bin, rather than the one from syslinux? Probably any version of isolinux.bin from syslinux package works. In my setup I customized the menu of syslinux. So I decided to have a separate place for 'my' isolinux.bin file used by xfburn. The "See Also: " field should have an link to the upstream bug at http://bugzilla.xfce.org/ Nothing is moving before that... Like bug 437748, this is purely enchancement type of bug that needs to be reported upstream http://bugzilla.xfce.org/ Once done, add link to the upstream bug to the "See Also: " field, and reopen this bug Thanks! |
Created attachment 326114 [details, diff] extends xfburn-0.4.3_p20120601 to create bootable cd with isolinux.bin in /usr/share/xfburn/ Since I use this patch for some years now, I consider it as stable and maybe others want to use it: in the preferences dialog of xfburn an option 'create bootable cd' gets added. It uses the isolinux file in /usr/share/xfburn/isolinux.bin. Other boot files for isolinux have to be added into the folder isolinux/ using the graphical user interface of xfburn. (Of course the path of isolinux.bin, which is hardcoded in my patch, could be added to the burn properties dialog.) Note: the attached patch applies cleanly after xfburn-0.4.3-empty_directory_segmentation_fault-2.patch from current gentoo portage. Christian Ostheimer
