Description Kim Tore Jensen 2004-03-04 02:51:52 UTC
When I try to emerge GTK+-2.2.4-r1, I got the following error:

libs/lt-gtk-query-immodules-2.0: error while loading
shared libraries: /var/tmp/portage/gtk+-2.2.4-r1/work/gtk+-2.2.4/gtk/.libs/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: unexpecte
d PLT reloc type 0x00
make[3]: *** [gtk.immodules] Error 127

This happens every time I try to emerge GTK+.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. as root, `emerge gtk+`

Actual Results:
The compile fails with the error message described in the details.

Expected Results:
GTK+ should have been compiled and merged with my system.

I've never seen this error before, but when I search for it everything points to something lower level than gtk (glibc/binutils). Forwarding to base devs.

what version of binutils are you running ?
