You need to run python-updater. (In reply to comment #1) > You need to run python-updater. Yes, that resolved the problem, but then this remains a usability bug, no? There was no indication from the system that I needed to run python-updater. All other ebuilds generally you just type emerge and it installs. This is a dependency outside of the ebuild... Portage should call python-updater for you, or at least indicate it may need to be run. This remains either a documentation bug, a portage bug, or an ebuild bug, unless you can point out where I missed the message. |
